The headlines of the NASSAU GUARDIAN newspaper dated December 2, 1998
featured Dr. Myles Munroe as one of the youngest recipients of the
Queen's Birthday Honors 1998, Officer of the British Empire (OBE). The
distinguished Myles Munroe was honored for what he has done as an
individual and his contributions to the growth and strength of the
Bahamas. Two weeks earlier, Dr. Munroe was honored by the Government of
the Bahamas where he was the recipient of the Silver Jubilee Award for
providing
twenty five years of outstanding service to the Bahamas in the category
of Religion. Both national and international awards are the highest
honors given by the Bahamian Government and the Queen, and it was not
surprising to find our Senior Pastor among the honorees.
